11 Before and Afters That Prove Scruff Is the Man's Contour





Contouring is the beauty trend that launched a thousand how-to articles, YouTube tutorials and dedicated product lines for makeup brands everywhere.



When done right (read: nothing heavy-handed), contouring can enhance facial features, create dimension and even slim down the face. Scruff and stubble, apparently, do the same for men.


It’s more than the je ne sais quoi men with a little scruff have about them: A study conducted by the Official Journal of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society confirms facial hair is linked to physical attractiveness. “Beardedness affects judgments of male socio-sexual attributes,” the study says. “[It suggests] that an intermediate level of beardedness is most attractive while full-bearded men may be perceived as better fathers who could protect and invest in offspring.”
