Tito Goals: Julius Babao Is the Style Inspo We Never Knew We Needed

Delivers the news, serves the looks

Julius Babao: doting husband, loving father of two, art enthusiast, newscaster on ABS-CBN's Bandila and TV Patrol and certified stylish tito of Manila.

The 49-year-old clearly isn’t through filling in that already impressive résume. Apart from putting in the work as a serious broadcaster, he makes sure his creative side doesn’t fall behind, too. Scroll through his Instagram feed and you’ll find that he loves art (he himself dabbles in painting,) is a motorcycle enthusiast, loves to travel and oh, he takes a mean OOTD.

Babao proves age is nothing but a number when it comes to style. In fact, he’s giving the younger guys a run for their money.

Julius Babao has two basic modes (and it seems there is no in-between.)

He’s either suited up and sharp or dressed down but dapper.

For telecasts of TV Patrol and Bandila, you can see him sport custom two-piece suits by @oscarbespoke often styled with a pocket square.

Silhouette, fit and proportion are key.

Babao is not one to shy away from suits in different colorways either.

A style lesson here: monochromatic ensembles (when you stay true to a single shade of color) can make anyone look instantly polished, leaner and taller.

Up next, a style lesson in colorblocking:

Who knew lavender, wine red and mustard could go so well together?

When it comes to off-duty styling, Babao enjoys marrying tailored pieces with casual elements.

The man’s got an affinity for fine footwear. Here, he trades his workday leather Oxfords for trendy Gucci sneakers.

He also goes all-out on streetwear at times.

Rocking that Supreme x Sade tee (as you do on casual Sunday afternoons.)

And the man sure knows his streetwear labels.

He’s a fan of brands like Off-White.

And Parisienne streetwear brand Wrung.

He and his wife, Christine Bersola-Babao, have couple style down pat.

Subtle color coodination? Check. Cool kicks? Check.

Babao knows how to inject style in pretty much everything.

He even does painting in the summertime in style.

And goes out for a ride in style.

While on vacation, Babao stands out from the crowd in style.

Even his family dog eats in style…
