Riri proves that age is just a number by celebrating a new beauty line
Today is Rihanna’s 28th birthday, and while some individuals would be freaking out about getting closer to hitting their 30s, the self-confessed bad gal proves that age is just a number. Over the weekend, the public was graced with a teaser still from Rihanna’s upcoming beauty line, Fenty Beauty.
The brand’s official Instagram account released a beauty shot of a model wearing a holographic lip color, which was last seen at the Fenty x Puma spring 2017 runway show. The new account also confirmed that the Fenty Beauty line will be available at Sephora stalls this fall—that’s sometime between September and December. And while this is good news, the great news is that it will be available in the Philippines!
Rihanna is also holding auditions for a global makeup artist for those who want to take the plunge and head over to New York, Dallas or LA. As an added incentive, the final audition is to do Rihanna’s makeup. Yes, we’re screaming as well #GoForIt
There is very little doubt that Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty brand will be popular among her fans and will do well in the market. She has, after all, already launched a best-selling MAC collection and launched her own beauty agency. The girl knows what she’s doing and we are excited to see more.
But in the years that Rihanna has been in the public eye, she has definitely offered more than just beauty pegs and beautiful lipsticks, liquid liners and eyeshadow palettes; her music career speaks for itself as well. She is one of the best-selling artists of all time, has won several Grammy Awards including Record Of The Year (Work) and Best R&B Song (Kiss It Better) and she was the very first winner of the American Music Award For Icon.
But despite all her success, Rihanna’s never forgotten to give back. In 2006, she put up the Believe Foundation to help terminally ill children, which she has funded via several charity performances. She was also part of H&M’s Fashion Against AIDS line in 2008 and contributed to Just Stand Up!, a project that helped raise US$100 million for cancer research.
Rihanna has class, beauty, intelligence, strength and talent. The future undoubtedly holds so much more for her, and we cannot wait to witness it.
With her Fenty Beauty brand ruling 2017, there's no telling what new heights Queen Riri is set to take the beauty world to. One thing's for sure though: the Rihanna effect is real.
