The Evolution Of Beauty Gonzales
The “Rebellious Beauty” has come a long way from her PBB days
Beauty Gonzales started from the humble house of Pinoy Big Brother and has since become one of showbiz’s more popular and recognizable actresses. She has gone from an unassuming teenager with a controversial personality to a respected name in the industry. Not to mention that her personal life has also since seemed to fix itself.
Born Christine Marie Gonzales, Beauty shot to stardom when she joined Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus, where she finished as the 4th grand placer. She was dubbed the “rebellious beauty,” but her aunt told The Philippine Star that she was not necessarily a rebellious child, except in that her mother did not support her young endeavors.
She succeeded in PBB and was the first of her housemates to score an appearance in a teleserye. Her biggest break, however, was on Dream Dad, where she starred opposite Zanjoe Marudo. Beauty also became the face of FHM’s August 2014 issue.
But in September 2015, she left the set of the popular show, NingningI, amidst rumors that she was pregnant. She and her art curator boyfriend, Norman Crisologo, welcomed their daughter Olivia in February 2016.
Despite her choice to get pregnant and leave Ningning, the industry was ready to welcome her back. She starred in The Achy Breaky Hearts alongside Richard Yap, Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion in 2016. At one press gathering, Beauty could not help the tears as she thanked Star Cinema for the chance to continue her acting career. “Akala ko hindi na ako makakabalik,” she said.
She may be a mother, but Beauty has continued to secure her place in the spotlight. She’s been recently making waves because of her Instagram beach posts.
She and Crisologo are now reportedly engaged.
