She may be married to Keith Urban, but Nicole Kidman is still pretty lax when it comes to congratulatory kisses. When Alex Skarsgård won Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for Big Little Lies, Kidman gave him a peck on the lips just as he was walking to the stage.
Daniel Glover makes history
For his award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, Daniel Glover made history. He is the first black star to win in this particular category.
Lena Waithe makes history
For her co-writing win with Aziz Anzari for Master Of None, Lena Waithe became the first black woman to be awarded an Emmy for comedy writing. When their win was announced for the Thanksgiving episode, the audience were on their feet.
Stephen Colbert’s musical opening number
For a start to the Emmy Awards 2017, host Stephen Colbert came out with guns blazing. With the help of Antony Anderson, Allison Janney and Chance the Rapper, Colbert sang and danced his way through the worlds of This is Us, Stranger Things, Veep and The Americans.

Sofia Vergara takes her son on a red-carpet date
Everyone knows that Sofia Vergara is gorgeous, but it became clear on Emmy night that the apple does not fall far from the tree. The Modern Family actress brought her son to the red carpet and everyone could not stop looking at Manolo Gonzalez Vergara (and yes, we know you’re taking mental note).

Rachel Bloom killed it at the Emmy Awards 2017 red carpet, but she did share a little secret. “We didn’t ask Gucci to dress me because they loan to very few,” the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star explained. “That being said, pickings are still slim for non-sample size ladies.”
