BREAKFAST CLOWN

Recipe by @jacobs_food_diaries

INGREDIENTS

Mango

Apple

Papaya

Strawberries

1 slice of bread

Light cream cheese

Black pancake (see previous episodes for recipe/instructions)

Watermelon

STEP 1

Start with a piece of toast and prepare your cutouts!

STEP 2

For the eyes, cut two circles out of a black pancake.

STEP 3

Cut another 8 small lines to make a cross around its eyes.

STEP 4

Add two curved lines for the eyebrows.

STEP 5

For the mouth, cut a sausage shape out of a watermelon slice.

STEP 6

Cut another two circles from the watermelon for those rosy cheeks!

STEP 7

Slice the tip of a strawberry for the nose.

STEP 8

Clowns usually have white faces, so spread cream cheese over the toasted bread.

STEP 9

Then, add the eyes, the mouth and the cheeks.

STEP 10

Place diced fruits on top of the head to make that curly-like clown hair.

STEP 11

And finally, give it a strawberry nose for that finishing touch!

MILK CARTON CAR

MATERIALS

1 x empty 300ml milk carton

4 x plastic bottle water lids

Masking tape

2 x bamboo skewer (barbeque sticks)

1 x plastic drinking straw

Scissors

1 x bamboo skewer (to punch holes in your wheels)

Balloon

STEP 1

Measure up your bamboo skewers or sticks. They need to be long enough to go across the base of the milk carton and must fit into two plastic lid wheels on either side.

STEP 2

Cut the straws shorter and put the skewers inside. This will allow the skewer axels to spin.

STEP 3

Now, for the wheels, you need to make holes in the centre of each plastic lid wheel. Use the tip of the bamboo skewer to make the holes.

STEP 4

Put your plastic wheels into your axels. Make sure they’re nice and snug.

STEP 5

Then, tape the straw axles to the base of the milk carton.

STEP 6

To demonstrate the force of air, tape a balloon on top of the carton. Blow it up! And finally, let it go and watch it shoot across the table like a battery powered toy car!
